Five years ago in Chongqing, China a beautiful baby girl was placed in our arms. Our lives would be forever changed that day. We are blessed beyond belief. You light up our days with your smile and witty sense of humor. You are a joy! Happy Family Day! We love you!
For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him: 1Samuel 1:27
Blessings

One of my little girls had a beginning quite similar to this story. The trauma is very real. The wounds have healed but the scars are there.

A fun night of baseball.............

| Dumpling made a friend- sorry for the poor quality. |
The craniofacial/cleft team at Children's Hospital hosted a family fun night. We were worried that the game would be rained out, but luckily it was just postponed. Attendance was definitely lower than expected given the weather, but we had a great time.

I love this post. It's raw and vulnerable but so true. These were our early days home from China. Difficult but oh so worth it. Well written . The adoption journey is not for the faint of heart.
