The frog and I had a wonderful day at the Helen Keller home.  We learned a bunch about this amazing lady!  She certainly overcame great obstacles in her life.  A good time was had by all!

In honor of National Adoption Month

LEGACY OF AN ADOPTED CHILD

Once there were two women who never knew each other
One you do not remember, the other you call Mother
Two different lives shaped to make you one
One became your guiding star, the other became your sun
The first one gave you life, and the second taught you to live it
The first gave you a need for love, the second was there to give it
One gave you a nationality, the other gave you a name
One gave you a talent, the other gave you aim
One gave you emotions, the other calmed your fears
One saw your first sweet smile, the other dried you tears
One made an adoption plan, that was all that she could do
The other prayed for a child, and God led her straight to you.
Now, which of these two women, Are you the product of?
Both, my darling, Both, Just two different types of love.

Starfish Flinger

The Starfish Flinger
As the old man walked the beach at dawn, he noticed a young man picking up starfish and flinging them into the sea. Catching up to the youth, he asked why he was doing this. The answer was that the stranded starfish would die if left until the morning sun. "But the beach goes on for miles and there are millions of starfish," countered the other. "How can your effort make any difference?" The young man looked at the starfish in his hand and threw it to safety in the waves. "It makes a difference to this one," he said. -Author Unknown

SURPRISE!

The egg roll was so surprised to receive an early birthday present.  She has been talking about her birthday for weeks now. She even saw 'ho ho' at Walmart yesterday and wanted to tell him what she wanted for her birthday. Of course, we couldn't wait another minute so we opened the box to peek.
We loved everything in the box!  Thank you 'R'!  You are the best friend!  We only wish you lived closer.

Sweet....

We received simply wonderful sweet news yesterday...
1.  Our dear friends finally got their TA and are leaving for China Thanksgiving Day!  Yippeeee!!  WE are all over the moon excited for them and the egg roll will have a new buddy.  Our other friends in town are traveling next Wednesday for their little one too!  How cool is that!  They will be in the same travel group.

2. Another family close to our hearts received notice from Korea that they can adopt!  Yipppeee!!!  When they start a blog and I get their permission, I will share it.

Our hearts were overjoyed yesterday.  God's work is happening all around us.

As for our paperwork, we are moving forward again after some unfortunate hold-ups.  Thankfully, we received an extension on our paperwork too.  Let's keep praying that we can get it all completed soon.
