Dumpling made a friend- sorry for the poor quality.

The craniofacial/cleft team at Children's Hospital hosted a family fun night.  We were worried that the game would be rained out, but luckily it was just postponed.  Attendance was definitely lower than expected given the weather, but we had a great time.

I love this post. It's raw and vulnerable but so true.  These were our early days home from China. Difficult but oh so worth it.  Well written .  The adoption journey is not for the faint of heart.

Reflections..........

After three straight days of doctor visits,  I reflect upon my little one's ability to make the best of every situation.  Dumpling has experienced her share of medical procedures and appointments. Through all of the poking and prodding, she takes every appointment in stride.  We are blessed to have a wonderful children's hospital with many specialists nearby.  But, that being said, it's an hour drive each way and involves lots of waiting and patience. We've seen the Geneticist, Plastic Surgeon, Endocrinologist, Audiologist, Speech Therapy,  Ophthalmologist and last but not least the Lab for blood draws.  Our Dumpling charms all those who meet her with her infectious smile and sweet little laugh.  She never complains.  I am in awe of her beautiful heart.  She is truly our little miracle in every way!  God is good!

We are also very excited because our little girls are going to start some Chinese lessons!  Cheers!

Another teenager in the house...........

The bittersweet jump into the teenage years has happened.  The Frog graciously made the transition into her 13th year.  We did some 'remember when' and we shared some great stories.

The Princess started Kindergarten.  Where has the time gone?  It seems like just yesterday she was a cuddly little baby.  We were proud of her 'bravery'.  She shed not a tear.  Our girl is growing up!

The Frog enjoyed summer camp this year!  We missed her, but we're happy that she had a great week.
