The kids loaded up on candy tonight at our church's Halloween carnival. Our travels will be a bit rushed tomorrow due to the Vol's basketball practice time so I decided to take pictures tonight instead. I figure they can eat as much candy as they want tomorrow then the rationing will begin. The egg roll was overwhelmed with all of the people in costume, but loved the idea of getting 'candy'. I myself would like a good piece of dark chocolate! PS. The Vol didn't participate tonight but has a costume up his sleeve for tomorrow.
For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him: 1Samuel 1:27

Halloween preview
Miss Snow White AKA the egg roll had a little Halloween fun at school today. She was quite overwhelmed with all of the costumes and people. I wasn't sure if I could make my exit without a tear, but luckily the lure of candy and a party changed her mind. Now to get ready for the 'real' Halloween celebration!

Fall is here!
We have been very busy around here! We had a fantastic play date with our new friend SM. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of the girls. They were very cute together and the egg roll was so excited about having a visitor over. We are still working on sharing however, but hopefully it will come in time.
We decorated our pumpkin in special egg roll fashion. We got all of our Thanksgiving decorations out in anticipation of our guests arriving and the egg roll's birthday. Her biggest request this year is 'candy'. Maybe Halloween will cure some of that longing.
We watched to Vol's first basketball game of the middle school season. The egg roll is his biggest fan!

A day at the park.......
The egg roll and I had the pleasure of meeting our new friends at the park this week. The egg roll and her new friend SM are the same age. They frolicked in the park together like long lost pals. SM's mommy and I had lots to talk about as well. We are so glad that they have moved into our neck of the woods. You see, these girls from China have a special bond and share a special sisterhood. The ducks enjoyed a splendid meal as well. After 4 loaves of bread, they were quite full.

Birthday Present
My best 'model' helped me try out my new lens! Finally, I can take portrait close ups with a blurred backround! Yippee! No for some major practicing.

While the boys are away.......
We started our day off at the Oktober Festival tent listening to music, then off to lunch, followed by Dolphin Tales the movie, TJ Maxx, and frozen yogurt. We ended the day with a visit to Nana and Popi's house. Whew, take my word for it, these girls know how to have fun! I have no pictures to post unfortunately. Well, I am one tired Mommy. Now off to bed........

Tears.....
I saw the face of Jesus
In a little orphan girl
She was standing in the corner
On the other side of the world
And I heard the voice of Jesus
Gently whisper to my heart
Ddn't you say you wanted to find Me
Well, here I am, here you are
Chorus:
So what now
What will you do now that you've found Me?
What now
What will you do with this treasure you've found
I know I may not look like what you expected
But if you'll remember
This is right where I said I would be
You found me, what now?
I heard this song today and of course, I cried. This answers all of those questions as to 'why' we want to adopt again. We are paperchasing as fast as we can. Thank Steven Curtis Chapman for helping us see the light. I love his music.

1st Haircut!
It may be hard to tell, but I gave the egg roll her first haircut today. I was trimming the frog's hair and the egg roll decided to join in the fun!

Sisters.....
Sisterhood is such a special bond. I am so glad that the girls will still dress alike on occasion. They got a lot of compliments at church today which made the frog's day! The egg roll was sporting a very decorative cross today as well.
