Happy Halloween and Moon Festival

Thank you Roz, the shirt is fabulous especially because it is in the 70's.
Just give me a bucket of candy and I will eat it all!

A slide always makes for a good time.

Our first ever Moon Festival

Beautiful girls

No carving this year, but these plastic things are great!

We absolutely loved these shirts.

Visitor

We were playing outside when low and behold our sweet neighbor arrived in his Halloween costume.  Tessa was scared at first but was relieved when he took it off.

Camp Mc Dowell fieldtrip

the girl can get dirty!
We enjoyed a beautiful day at Camp Mc Dowell. We learned all about 'rocks' and pond environments.  The weather was gorgeous and the kids really got dirty discovering!

Reflections

As it fast approaches Tessa's second birthday, I find myself reflecting on how far she has come.  We have jumped over many hurdles and climbed many mountains.  When we met, she was a scared little girl who was mourning the loss of all that was familiar.  She fought all of the changes that were taking place.  Her world was out of control.  This small, timid little girl is now full of life.  She copies everything wanting to be 'big'.  She runs, jumps, and climbs.  She loves to be cuddled and held in her 'momma's' arms.  She is loved by her family and all who meet her.  She now has language to express herself.  She has a quirky sense of humor.  We thank God for bringing her into our lives and frankly, we could not imagine our family without her.  Tessa, you have taught me about love, trust, and acceptance.  Tessa you are loved!
